All General Air Traffic (GAT) flights, except paragliders, within the EVRMZ1 RIGA FIS SECTOR 3, shall establish two-way radio communication on FREQ stipulated in AIP ENR 2.1 Flight Information Service table for RIGA FIS SECTOR 3.

Prior to entering or exiting RMZ, pilots shall make an initial call on the appropriate communication FREQ, transmitting the name of the station being called, call sign, aircraft type, position, level, and flight intentions.

Paragliding pilots are to use the “Safe Sky” mobile application. If necessary, communication with pilots will be conducted through the contact person assigned by the Latvian Paragliding Federation (tel. +371 22442307).
