CHAPTER 3. Licences for Flight Crew Members other than Licences For Pilots

Flight navigator licence is not issued.

Flight engineer licences are issued in accordance with the Cabinet of Ministers Regulation No. 754 (adopted 16 November 2021) on civil aviation aircraft flight crew member certification.

The requirements specified in the Regulation are applicable to flight mechanics on Mi-8. These requirements do not apply to flight engineers referred to in JAR-FCL4.

3.4

Flight radiotelephone operator licence is not issued.


CHAPTER 4. Licences and Ratings for Personnel other than Flight Crew Members

4.4.1.1

There is no age requirement for the issuance of an air traffic controller licence. Applicants for a student air traffic controller licence shall be at least 18 years old.

The holder of an air traffic controller licence who has not started exercising the privileges of a rating within 1 year from the date of its issuance may only start on-the-job training in that rating.

At present Latvia has not prescribed other conditions which shall be reported by aircraft when encountered or observed.
