In accordance with the decision of the Latvian Ministry of Defense to continue, through the year 2026, the night-time airspace restrictions introduced last autumn along the border with the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, a temporary restricted area EVR444 EVENTIDE will be established from 19 FEB 2026 to 31 DEC 2026 and will be active daily 1800–0500 (1700–0400) UTC (see Appendix 1).
Non-participating aircraft, including unmanned aircraft, are prohibited from entering the active temporary restricted area EVR444 EVENTIDE, unless approval has been received (see paragraph 3).
Latvian State Border Guard (VRS) flights will be considered as “participating” air traffic and will be coordinated by the VRS ASOP in accordance with the National Armed Forces and State Border Guard standard procedures.
During area EVR444 EVENTIDE activation, the horizontal and vertical inner buffers with the State Border Guard areas EVR17A, EVR17B, EVR17C BORDER EAST and other adjacent active military areas are not applied.
The Military Airspace Management Cell (MAMC) ensures area EVR444 EVENTIDE deconfliction with other overlapping areas.
EVR444 EVENTIDE cancellation will be announced by NOTAM.

3.1. Obtaining approval for non-participating piloted aircraft
At least 2 working days in advance, the applicant submits information to mamc@mil.lv indicating the following data:
- purpose of the flight
- aircraft type
- route
- planned take-off time
- planned flight duration
- planned landing time
- visualization and/or coordinates
- applicant's contact information in order to clarify submitted information if necessary.
Upon receiving approval from MAMC, on the day of the flight 30 minutes before the planned take-off, the applicant shall call MAMC duty officer (+371 650 02 679). The actual situation will be assessed and the applicant will receive final permission to perform the flight.
3.2. Obtaining approval for non-participating unmanned aircraft takes place online at least 2 working days in advance through the unified Civil Aviation Agency Unmanned Aircraft Information System (BGKIS), except for state unmanned aircraft. State unmanned aircraft may submit e-mail requests directly to mamc@mil.lv at least 2 working days in advance.
